SEO audit

What is an SEO audit and what does this checker measure?

Our SEO checker assesses a website from two angles: classic search engine optimisation (SEO) for Google, and generative engine optimisation (GEO) for AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. A domain or a page address is enough for the free SEO audit; no sign-up is needed.

Every scan runs 303 rules in 23 categories: the page's HTML and HTTP headers, robots.txt, the sitemap and llms.txt are read; Google PageSpeed Insights provides mobile and desktop Lighthouse measurements and the last 28 days of real Chrome user data (CrUX); pages chosen from the sitemap are crawled to find site-wide issues. Every rule shows its finding, a list of details and a solution.

An SEO audit is the systematic review of the technical and content factors that affect how visible a website is in search engines. A good SEO testing tool does more than count mistakes; it says which gap hurts rankings and visitors the most. That is why every rule carries a weight and the result comes with an action plan scored by impact and effort.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) is preparing for the new way of searching: AI assistants choose sources when they answer a question. To be a source, the site has to be open to these bots, its llms.txt and structured data have to be consistent, the answer has to come in the first lines and the brand has to look trustworthy. The AI access, structured data, answerability and E-E-A-T categories form the GEO half.

Scoring

How are the overall score and the letter grade calculated?

Every rule gets a passed, warning, issue or info result; a passed rule earns its full weight, a warning half, and info lines are not scored. Category scores and the two half scores (SEO, GEO) are calculated with these weights. The overall score has four components: rule checks 40%, Lighthouse mobile 30%, Lighthouse desktop 15%, real-user data (CrUX) 15%. The share of a component that cannot be measured is redistributed proportionally; every critical issue takes 3 points off the overall score (at most 15).

Roadmap

What to do after the audit

The action plan starts with critical issues, followed by high-impact, low-effort items; next to each item you see its approximate contribution to the overall score and the related service. Most technical items close at server and template level; content and GEO items through steady work such as question-style headings, a direct answer in the first line, schema, llms.txt and author details.

If your letter grade is C or lower, or the GEO half is clearly below the SEO half, the package recommendation in the result shows the scope needed. With a fix quote request our team reviews the report by hand and assesses it together with your competitors.
